INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – IU Health has dozens of openings for paramedics, but can’t find anyone to fill them. It’s a trend that’s only getting worse.
"There's been a downward trend over the last 10 years, if not longer,” said Matt Wright, a Regional Supervisor for IU Health Lifeline. "We’re finding that it’s harder and harder to find paramedics nowadays.”
Because of the shortage, current employees are working around the clock by picking up overtime to keep ambulances on the streets.
“Most of our paramedics typically work about an extra shift a week," Wright said. "That’s kind of the common trend here at lifeline.”
Wright says there are multiple factors behind the shortage. ..
There's still a need for technicians and installers of stand-alone generators for homes and businesses. Generac and other companies are back-logged, especially now that homeowners are having the work done through Home Depot.

The job requires assisting in food preparation, preparing displays, assisting in maintaining a clean environment, and in general, ensuring everything is ready and running smoothly on a daily basis.
Unlike many jobs in the palace, where the staff remains out of sight and never interacts with the Queen or Royal family, this position is different. During meals, the lucky employee will be helping to serve the food to the Queen and her guests while working to ensure the foodservice goes smoothly. ..
