The world brings me plenty not to laugh about. Sometimes it helps to have someone help me laugh. Lessens the tension and improves the mood. I watch dry comedy bar often. Always clean and many of them bring their faith into the routine.
I see nothing wrong with laughing and showing a little joy. It is one of the gifts of the spirit. Being joyful will draw more towards a positive interaction with God then being chastised and belittled.
