Favorite Secular/Non-Religious Vocal Music

Post by mike »

This is a thread to post your vocal (not solely instrumental) musical favorites that are not specifically religious in nature, but that you find inspiring, meaningful, or just enjoyable to listen to.

One of my favorite non-religious genres is Irish folk music. I'll post a few of my favorites.

I always liked this song. and hoped there wasn't a hidden meaning in the song as some of the folk songs had.

I've always been partial to Latin American folk singers. Mercedes Sosa, the famous Argentinian folk singer is just one of many examples

And it took 8 D batteries. I had something similar. Got me through many hot summer days stacking firewood!

Back on topic. These days, bluegrass I could take a liking to. And, believe it or not, Classical depending on the mood. When I worked nights, I would play this when I was trying to fall asleep after work.
