My aptetude testin in my early 20's placed me in the 97th percentie for mathimatics in Canada, but that's ok I balanc out with my below 40th percentil or was it 30th percentil in Inglish… The moral is - the anser is 16

Using everyday English words in math gets tricky. For instance, which of the following is correct:

a. "7 plus 5 IS 11"
b. "7 plus 5 ARE 11"
