The choice would be easier if it said what kind of cake or pie. To many variables to make a solid choice. Both are excellent though ;)

most polls are too hard for me.
this one may epitomize it.

my mother's mother was "clearly pie."
she even chose pie for her birthday!
radical woman.

if commercially made: cake! :D
i can make that decision.

It really isn't necessary to choose. Make a pake!

This one is cherry pie inside a chocolate cake:

In regards to the poll, however, if we can get 29 votes, I am rooting for pie over cake by a ratio of 22 to 7.

I didn't vote as I like both pie and cake, but my favorite pies would be apple and pumpkin.

Yesterday my family wanted pancakes for breakfast, so I made big fluffy blueberry pancakes for them and then I made eggs for myself...

What kind of pie?
Almost any, just as long as it isn't cake!

Banana cream, blueberry, better yet huckleberry, lemon, peach. I like to can pie filling (my wife made some plum recently). And if we have some frozen pie crusts I can open a jar into a crust put in the oven and quick, easy, and delicious pie.
