My 25-year-old son is in China to teach English. He had a mental breakdown and is now in a mental hospital. He's refusing to talk with the Embassy at this point. I have not been able to talk with him.
Please pray for him.
If anyone knows any English-speaking Christian contacts in Beijing who might be led to reach out to him, please let me know.
My wife and I also could use your prayers. This is very distressing.

Also, have you-all contacted the office of counselor affairs in Washington? They may be able to get consular access if he "refuses" or not. (Inquiry into the well being and safety of a US citizen) They may not, however, tell you what they find, or even confirm that such a visit has taken place unless he consents to the release of that information. This is how the system works, If I remember correctly from my time in the gulf.
Praying that works out,
J.M.

I'm reaching out to friends in the city you mentioned in the OP... Some are of faith and others are sympathetic to those who are...
Does the contact need to be Christian?
Will let you know if I make any progress...
Can you PM me with your name, his name, and your email and phone?

The old woodcutter spoke again. “It is impossible to talk with you. You always draw conclusions. Life is so vast, yet you judge all of life with one page or one word. You see only a fragment. Unless you know the whole story, how can you judge?"

I'm so sorry, Jim - I will pray for your son and for you.

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?

Please keep praying. We have had some indirect contact. We hope he can come home soon. Depression is making it hard for me to do much.
