Many kids do prefer goat milk.
If you have a place to keep one, a milk goat can make a good pet and give the older kids an introduction to caring for farm animals. Feed and other expenses may not amount to much more than buying the milk. And then there's the option of having kids in the future.

Thank-you for your encouragement!
We are looking into purchasing a few milk goats, we already have two Boer goats.
This could turn into an income opportunity, as we do have 11+ acres of pasture here that we'd like to utilize better.

Re: The adventures in Daphna Dale.....
At this point we will probably wait to get a milking goat, as friends of ours will sell us all we need for a few months at least.
Maybe after school lets out this spring we can get a milking goat so our son can develope a good milking schedule over the summer.
In other news, we are traveling to Pa to spend Christmas with both of our families. My parents haven't seen our 10 month old yet due to mom not having been well enough to travel most of this year. So she is really looking forward to seeing her for the first time!

An update on the goat milk scenario, there was an immediate difference in the way our daughter tolerated her bottle. She continued to be happy after her feedings which was new for her. She has mostly thrived with this change in her diet. I say mostly, because she still gets sick easily which we were informed is most likely due to the antibiotics she needed while in the hospital when she was two months old.
