Now Irma: Super-cane

Post by MaxPC »

It's been called the strongest storm ever on record. Her fury is projected to traverse the entire length of Florida. Our Florida friends have already battened down their homes and headed to the mountains of KY, WV, TN, GA, and NC with their families, pets, and family photos. Prayers have been requested.

The strongest storm on record that I've found is the 1935 Labor Day Hurricane. Who's reported Irma as the strongest? Just curious.

Certainly a dangerous situation and we can pray that it skirts Florida some.

I saw a post about it being the first recorded to sustain 185 mph winds for the longest. Is that what you're referencing?

I'm quoting the NWS' words verbatim. Period. They are the weather authority with the archives.

Looking to start an argument again? You have Google like everyone else. You should try listening instead of arguing. You'll be a better Christian for it.

While this has your attention you should argue less and pray more for these folks.

I've googled and read a few articles; learned some things I didn't know, learned some stuff I did know. That's how I saw what the NWS said about sustained winds. I tried.

Couldn't find exactly what you quoted, but that's fine. This conversation needn't go further obviously.

That's a rather generous interpretation of "verbatim" and "NWS", but thanks.
