#s 1-5. I can share that where there's a lack of a reputable Catholic school we choose to homeschool. The public school curricula have been abysmal for at least 25 years. Now we are seeing multiple news stories throughout the nation of public school teachers having sex with or sexually abusing their students as young as elementary school. Pornography is certainly part of the problem. There are also news stories of students sexually assaulting other students.

i've been reading about these sorts of library+school materials in my state, Illinois.
this is about a library in Chicago suburbs, but, the material gets into school libraries, too.
Illinois may have become a worst case scenario, i'm not sure. policies are overly controlled by Chicago libs. not appreciated in downstate.

until recently, June was widely known as "the" month for traditional weddings, June brides.
this, from at least the 1400's - without ANY political party's endorsement, activism, etc.

how could this be?! no politics?! unthinkable.

recently, quickly, and thoroughly, the very mention of June now defaults to celebrating ..
you guessed it: all things homosexual. beginning with everyone's youngest children.

(i believe) these results are the outcome of organized minorities vs unorganized majorities.
this library book decision is one example.
i do NOT want to witness "organized majorities," parents need help, tho. families need help.

Catholic schools are notorious for the things you've named... not to mention draconianism.

I think it's all what you choose to listen to. To most, June defaults to summer. To many, it defaults to tomato season. Still others, it's something else.

Nothing against you; nor am I doubting your experience, but I just don't believe that the masses think of celebrating homosexuality when they hear "June".

Perhaps in Hollywood movies. I don't know where you get your idea of such but I have first hand knowledge of them: the reality is quite different and few have those problems.

You say few have had this problem, but proportionately I'm sure the incident rate in Catholic schools is higher than public. Still not the majority, but it just takes a few to create a notorious image. Much like public schools and mass shootings

Wrong again. That search you linked are old stories from decades ago, most don't involve Catholic schools and when the Bishops got the police to investigate, 98 % of the accusations were immediately proven false - the accusers were seeking money. Yet there have been more than 160 arrests and convictions of public school teachers in just the past two months for sex offenses against students.

KB, why do you want to turn this thread on public schools into a Catholic bashing? That's not kind nor even like Christ. Your operating off of a bigotry that's been perpetuated in Hollywood and mass media. I'm Catholic and you're not. I don't bash your efforts at discipleship. In fact I've always encouraged the Anabaptist mission. Why not try to be more open and kind to other Christians and listen to how they seek to be disciples?
