Price of dental

Post by RZehr »

I have a young preschool child who needs a bunch of work done on his teeth. Price here is about $4,000-$5,000.

Anyone know a good pediatric dental option in Mexico?

I’m curious how dental is covered in socialist Canada. Is it free?

I can refer you to a not so great dentist during the summer months near Yuma AZ.

I learned the best dentists are on vacation during the summer since it’s so hot. They are back practicing during November, so go then.

We have a small church in Yuma. A few people there run AirBNBs. You could contact them and let them know you’ll be in the area and see if they know a dentist they like.

The price of dental work is gotten extreme in America. A root canal and crown runs into the thousands.

Thanks.

Yes, dental is very expensive. I recently had a crown done, and I was impressed with the advances in technology. They can scan the whole jaw area with software and a wand in your mouth. Or with a mini MRI thing. And they have a mini CNC machine right at the office that then forms the crown to exactly fit. Very impressive.

He said that the one machine cost $100,000.

I heard Hungary is a good option for dental work. Brazil is too. We may try Hungary next time we need expensive stuff done, as things in Mexico don’t seem as reliable anymore.

I’ve had work done in Belize City that was good. I know a lot of people go to Mexico, but I’ve not. I want to make sure I go to a good one. I probably need to go to Arizona for work this spring anyway, so I’m thinking taking my child along and getting the dental done. But I don’t know… I’m looking into it.

If you find an excellent one, I’d like to hear more… one of our workers and my business partner need to get a lot of dental work done. The insurance plans are not helpful; they seem to have excuses to avoid actually paying to fix anything.

Here’s a recent story from England-

There is a place in Mexico right across the border from San Diego. My brother in law and sister in law go there. Many Amish and Mennonites go there for dental and medical care. Not sure about child dentistry. Apparently you go to San Diego and they pick you up in a van and take you across- so apparently border crossing is easy. not sure of the name of the clinic.

Does "Dental city" sound familiar?
