Around here, (Midwestern Ontario), It would be link sausage or farmer's sausage, usually made with pure pork, I have also had some made with bear and deer.
I see Max replied at the same time.
When I first read your post I thought you said, "I have also had some made with beer and deer."

Maybe they're not in your neighborhood, but they've been in other parts of the state for a few years now.

Perhaps they'll need a realty service to help them find and purchase homesteads. May I suggest the company be named "Agent Orange"?

The Campground:
Snow - 4 inches worth is on the ground this morning. Of course we had to get out and take a walk. She loves winter and snow on the trees. She says it looks like God washed the world clean.

4 inches on the mh roof is no issue. It acts as insulation. One time tough a couple of feet had fallen and the roof was bowing and groaning. I took a broom to the roof and pushed off the excess. Snow rakes would tear up the roof.

Is this a way to spell PA German "Grossdaddy Haus"?
It depends on where you are what they call them...Not all Amish or Mennonite are created equal!
I definitely notice differences between the Deitsch I heard in Pennsylvania and Indiana and the Deitsch I heard at an Amish store in Kentucky. It seems to have regional differences. Can someone who knows more describe these differences?
In Ohio they say R's sharper than in PA, at least where I live. Most of my exposure to Pennsylvania Pennsylvania Dutch is from visitors, tho.
