Mr Politics is still behaving himself. The weekend is here and the Weekenders are starting to arrive. There's a little bit of a cold snap so I'll have to get out the heated water hose to keep our water flowing during the freeze.

Some of the campers don't have heated or insulated water hoses. When the water freezes in the hose, they have to lay the hose out in the sun or use a hair dryer to try to defrost the thing. Some of the efforts are quite inventive to watch. :D

In addition to hair dryers and sunshine, there's also the "beating" where they take the hose and slap it on the ground to break up the ice...doesn't work and usually leaves holes in the hose that sprout water when it finally does defrost.

Then there's the "blow hard" method where the person tries to blow on the hose with his mouth to blow out the ice. A couple of years ago we saw one guy turn blue and pass out: didn't work either. The guy lived.

Yep, life in a campground is interesting.

Mr Politics may have a learning curve. He's not turning every conversation into a political discussion

Finished the plowing help. We're going to a flea market and produce stand this afternoon. My wife wants to see what's available. I'll be keeping my eye out for some new lures and sinkers.

While I was helping the plowing, my wife finished doing laundry at the children's house. She says the nice thing about the RV is house work takes less than 10 minutes. Putting the laundry away, cleaning the floors and changing the bed only takes that long.

How long do the fleas shop and how long does it take to get produce to stand or does it ever?

Are the fleas shopping or are we shopping for fleas? There are the basic models and then there are the special editions

Please keep in prayer the victims of tornadoes. A few weeks ago it was Georgia and Alabama; now it's Louisiana. Spring tornado season has arrived.

Up late tonight, am keeping a vigil because we're getting some high winds. When the front passes I'll hit the hay.

A full campground this weekend. People are itching to get away from cabin fever.

Should be interesting

It was a quiet weekend. Most people here are glad to have a break from politics. They spent a lot of time playing with their children and conversations. I didn't see a single computer come out all weekend: a blessing.

We're helping the children around the farm this week. We did celebrate Valentine's Day yesterday with chocolate desserts and homemade cards. We also enjoyed sharing how much we are loved and blessed.

I'm hearing how the flu has circled back and started infecting a lot of people, even those who've had flu shots (the providers tell you up front the shot is only 50% effective.) Some areas are calling it a pandemic. Prayers are needed for these unfortunate souls.

My head hurts a bit today but it's sinuses and my wife's apple cider vinegar tonic is already providing relief. Plenty of people are sneezing too: hopefully it's only pollen and not the flu.

Forgot to mention:
We're seeing early budding of trees. They're beautiful along with the daffodils and crocus. It's been a long time since I saw the trees bloom with the daffodils.
