Hmm, you might have missed the pun. Oh well, it was rather corny anyway.

Their two oldest children couldn't make it for supper last night but he brought his wife and their youngest.
It went well and they stayed late enough that I think they enjoyed the visit.

Wednesday ..
i traveled home from helping my daughter with her family.
Washington to Illinois, connecting through Dallas.
the lights were so pretty, landing in Dallas at sunset.

so thankful weather was mild+clear, no snow/ice/crazy winds, no delays, flights were not “packed;” :)
most thankful no surprises with the house and car. there was plenty of harsh winter weather while i was away. there may be plenty more before spring.

my car battery is ‘way past its stated life expectancy! working fine.
will i find another like that?!

my neighbor started the car now+then while i was away. i’m sure that’s why it made it through.
thank you, neighbor! :D

Yesterday ..
picked up mail held at the post office, ran other errands. weather, sunny+mild.

Today .. happy, but, tired.
unwinding from being in their busy-busy household.

i began missing them before i left. esp my little roommate. what a sweetheart she is.

Most or all of this drama, humiliation, wasted taxpayer money could be spared -
with even modest attempt at presenting balanced facts from the start.

Was it the devil? God is greater.
Think about it.

He is greater, of course. But the devil is active and lurking- consuming whom he may.
I'd definitely say it was the devil... Suicide isn't of God.
