He who constantly criticizes his inferiors, doesn't have any.

Advice is often what we ask for when we already know the answer and wish we didn't.

I'm glad that this saying is not totally true. I would be of all men most miserable. Jesus lifts me out of those doldrums, even while I hurt for my children and continue to pray for them.

"A dog without teeth will also attack a bone."

"A great doctor is accompanied by a great angel."

GC, I think we all keep our children in prayer but we also stand back to let God teach them what they need to know-a tough assignment for loving parents.

"Keep your eyes wide open before marriage, half shut afterward."
Benjamin Franklin

old:
"scarcer than hen's teeth" ..
"a stitch in time, saves nine" ..
"in two shakes of a lamb's tale" ..
"once in a blue moon" ..
"don't cry over spilt milk" ..

from antiquity:
"spare the rod, spoil the child" ..
"children should be seen, but not heard" ..

Most or all of this drama, humiliation, wasted taxpayer money could be spared -
with even modest attempt at presenting balanced facts from the start.

If a man is full of himself, there's no room left for God.
