How hard is it to grow saffron? What climates does it grow in? I like saffron, I keep passing it by because of the price.Somebody wrote:Planting several kinds of tea for a new tea bed next year. Planting saffron to grow my own. Homemade noodles with saffron, chicken gravy with saffron, and stuffing with saffron - some of my favorite foods with a generous pinch( or two!) of saffron.

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?

Congratulations for your son and new daughter-in-law!Somebody wrote:Our son got married and they were able to have a very small, family only wedding in spite of the coronavirus situation. It was a lovely wedding and reception. And how nice to add a daughter in law to our family!
We had a beautiful fall, with wonderful colors of leaves. Its late October and we still have days of going outside without sweaters and pulling off shoes & socks in the afternoons.
We have nice friendly neighbors.
The birds are fun to watch at the feeders outside the kitchen windows. Cardinals, chickadees, woodpeckers, nuthatches.

I have to tell you that your last paragraph makes me hungry and I just ate lunch 2 hours ago.

Ha! Max, it makes me hungry too! Guess what we're having for thanksgiving?
Barnhart, Its not hard to grow. Plant the bulbs in August, they bloom in October. Pick the flowers each day and pull the red threads out and let them air dry. Then pack them up in an airtight container. And when your harvest is big enough, use freely!
I like this company's instructions for planting and care.

Cool! And it looks like you get pretty flowers as a side-benefit.Somebody wrote:Barnhart, Its not hard to grow. Plant the bulbs in August, they bloom in October. Sorry Bootstrap, called you by the wrong name.
Yes, they have beautiful flowers. They only last a day, and they smell good.

They are now close to 4 months’ married, it’s been a nonstop whirlwind for them, and, vicariously, for me! Good thing, i could not keep up with the reality they’re living. Moving, jobs, soon moving again. They’re buying a house in Michigan! o.my.word. what next?! what more?!
There can be too much of good things!
Now i have a daughter, granddaughter, and daughter-in-law.
We are so pleased to have her in this new relationship with us! daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt.
She has new hats to wear!
There are more good things. For 2020, for us, this is The Best.
My son married in July, they were far away in S Cal., they had a lovely “tiny-wedding” officiated by a friend; my son called the next day - i hope i do not ever forget his call! the emotions! the happiness!Somebody wrote:Our son got married and they were able to have a very small, family only wedding in spite of the coronavirus situation. Nick Sandmann / Catholic teen / 2019 March for Life incident

January 2020:
I hope the outcome for Nick Sandmann and all impacted by this incident do well.
Nick S. deserves prayers as he moves forward. i pray he is granted wisdom with this outcome, which is not a guarantee of anything. he will have added trials and responsibilities, hopefully, no heartbreaks.
There were a few forum threads that included discussions of hapless Nick Sandmann.
Interesting reading. Not always easy reading.

Herman Cain:
They’ll say it’s not an admission of guilt, but it’s certainly an admission that they weren’t confident about prevailing at trial:
CNN agreed Tuesday to settle a lawsuit with Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann.
The amount of the settlement was not made public during a hearing at the federal courthouse in Covington, Kentucky.
Sandmann’s lawsuit sought $800 million from CNN, the Washington Post and NBC Universal.
Libel is hard to prove in court because you have to prove not only that they said negative and false things about you, but that they knew they were doing so and did it with malice. Slander is a little different, and I’m not entirely sure what Sandmann’s lawyers alleged.
But at the very least, he would have a strong case that CNN and other media were reckless in the way they portrayed him based on nothing more than a single still shot showing him face-to-face with Nathan Phillips.
You also have to keep in mind the context of this story blowing up.
The image of Sandmann and Phillips went viral on social media, and it was largely spread by liberals who were sure that Sandmann – with his MAGA hat – was smirking at and taunting the poor Native American.
The mainstream media basically co-opted this view of the photo and reported it accordingly.
It wasn’t until a day later when actual video of the incident emerged that everyone realized the still shot had been wildly misleading, and that the take of left-wingers who spread it on social media had been way off and extremely unfair to Nick Sandmann. .. ..
I hope the outcome for Nick Sandmann and all impacted by this incident do well.

Physical fitness
http://forum.mennonet.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3361
To be honest, as a direct response to the pandemic, i FINALLY “took steps” to improve my physical fitness.
it is what it is.
at this point, i loathe to think what my mental health would be if i’d not.
2020 has been rough.

To be honest, as a direct response to the pandemic, i FINALLY “took steps” to improve my physical fitness.
i’m not proud it took such a catastrophe to get me going.i saw my GP for an annual check thursday. i now have 2 happy doctors... my doctor is happy!
i’m not sure how to act. i guess i’ll just go ahead and be happy.
i think med staff are stressed and seeing lots of added problems this year.
i didn’t tell them, i began walking because the early pandemic reports were “so bad,” if i caught it, due to age+diabetes, i would be sure to have a hard time, if not permanent damage or death.
the lungs seem to be hardest-hit. no family, no visitors.
i decided i’d better work on getting stronger, esp to exercise lungs.
so. even with tendonitis, i felt i needed to do the best i could, with what was possible. walking.
much to my surprise, i’m now pain-free. i was pretty sure i had a chronic problem that i was just going to have to live with. it happens.
it is what it is.
at this point, i loathe to think what my mental health would be if i’d not.
