It's an interesting view into Bercot's thinking. I like to understand how others approach important topics.

I want to start momentarily on 'The End of Reason' by Ravi Zacharias.
(I'm hoping it will help me cope on MN).

Actually some of it reads as if it could be in response to the writer of Ecclesiastes.

Just finishing, "The Secret of the Strength," by Peter Hoover available from Scroll Publishing. This was a treat! Love the honesty. Very encouraging.

But still different from Recapture the Wonder? Please tell more. Ravi is a fascinating author for sure.

The End Of Reason is well worth your time.

Am currently wading through Christian Nonresistance (Adin Ballou), Authentic (by James MacDonald), and The Essential Carlstadt (edited by Edward Furcha).

Yes, that was a good one.

I am enjoying a book a friend loaned to me. It's written by the niece of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr - Dr Alveda C. King.

Just finished this now too. This is, I believe, is a helpful book. I am thinking better of Bercot's books now and look forward to reading more.

Common Sense helped me realize he is more focused on a particular audience. And since I was raised without being taught about scripture or God I realized I wasn't really part of his audience. Not that the unchurched don't come without biases but preconceived notions can be close to none on what scripture is saying when you have never heard it.
I believe this will be helpful in relating to those raised with religious biases. (Not to imply it is better to be raised without God at all...!)

When I finished reading it, I looked at my wife and said, "I am finished with Common Sense." She gave me a strange look and laughed...

Now started reading: Will the Real Heretics Please Stand up.
