i received an official-looking envelope in the mail, it states on the outside of the envelope,
”YOUR RESPONSE IS REQUIRED BY LAW”

first, is it real?
i receive plenty of gov-looking materials that turn out to be loan offers, and things, NOT connected to government, at all .. this can be found inside, in very small print. :roll:

it appears real.
this is not a Census year.

“American Community Survey”

instructions are to go online to this website, expect the survey to take 40 minutes.
.. “The Census Bureau chose your address, not you personally, as part of a randomly selected sample. You are required by U.S. law to respond to this survey.” ..
hmm.
wondering if others have received this survey, or, know anything about it? :)

Yes, I think this is real. The American Community Survey happens every year, it's not the same as the Census. These links may be helpful:

i’ll be required to sacrifice some of my forum time to complete it.

i have not mentioned this Census to anyone, not even my family, aside from what’s in this thread.
i’m clueless.

maybe you triggered something searching for info? i have no idea.
i guess i’ll wait before filling it out and returning.
