No, we shouldn't. But they probably won't listen to me ...

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?

Feels like "playing God" to me - at least when it involves genetically duplicating an individual. It is an ethically troubling practice.

I think I have less issue with cloning cells or even individual organs for medical purposes - but it still feels like a slippery slope. I can imagine the horrible possibility of cloning a being so that we can harvest that person's organs for example.

Could they clone me 45 years ago? Seriously I think I am happy to be leaving this world before too many years!

Or to create a new class of slavery.

I too, think it's akin to playing God. In the scientific community ethics have gone out the window and amorality replaced them.

I'm uncomfortable with it, but I think I'm a little bit open to it.

RZehr, which part? The cloning of monkeys or the cloning of humans?

Sorry I was mixed up. I didn't read the link. I was thinking of genetic manipulation such as CRISPR technology.

No worries, RZehr. I've done the same myself.
