Alberta and BC fires

Things are heating up in Southern Alberta. The fire at Glacier National Park went wild last night and they have had to evacuate Cardston County and Pincher Creek as well as part of a large Indian reserve. Apparently RCMP went door to door during the night and told people to leave immediately. I don't think that towns of Cardson and Pincher Creek have been evacuated at this point.

They are forecasting rain in about 48 hours, so hopefully that will help, but the fire can do a lot of damage in the meantime. This is getting closer than we've ever experienced. I don't think we're in any eminent danger, but that could change.

Kris and Nate (our daughter and son in law) have cattle in Pincher Creek that they are going to try to get out this morning, if they can get a cattle liner.

So you might want to pray about the situation here.

thank you for the update.
i'm still with my family near seattle, we've had a lot of smoke from Canada's fires, and, recently, fires in Washington. Oregon has fires, California .. just read recently, Montana has been burning for weeks!

for some reason, the fires are not getting the press that's going to hurricanes+flooding.
if only - some of that water could make it to the wild fire areas.

seattle area has had a hot, dry spell, i was told it began in June.
we've barely had a sprinkle in those months! every county in the state is on high fire alert, including the urban areas. very dry.

48 hours is a long time to burn, while hoping for rain. :(
continuing prayers for Canada.

That is a large area potentially affected. Praying all will be safe.

Wow. And we are worried about a few carbon emissions. I mean if the theories are correct this type of thing should really change or climate quickly.

Interesting Lester...when the wind is right, we're seeing smoke here in central Minnesota as well. Even had an "air quality alert" about a week ago. That area in the Canadian Rockies is so beautiful and pristine...hate to see it scarred, even if it is a natural process that does it.

I think Lester is saying they've had a quick climate change.

This is all so unbelievable almost- Earth, wind & fire- yes it's all too strange-
My brother & wife complaining of sore throats from smoke in their area of WA-

Canada? Well apparently this isn't all caused by the Lord being upset with America regarding Trump like some are saying :blah:

Oh- and I heard that the Hurricanes are because God is upset with America, because President Trump's son went to negotiate land for the Palestinians! (so glad we left the Charismatic/Pentecostal movement)

Prayers for those in harms way of the fires, we really need to intercede

Sore throats from the smoke? We have had extreme smoke here for about 3 weeks and quite a few people are sick with sore throats and fevers, especially the children. Some days we couldn't see two miles because the smoke hung like fog. I thought the sickness was from a virus or something.
Thank God the smoke has cleared here.

Yes, sickness from smoke is a huge problem for asthmatics, compromised lungs and allergies. Keeping you all in prayer :pray
