Poll: First Amendment Audits

Post by Ernie »

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Amendment_audits

I first learned of First Amendment Audits last evening. I was so amazed by it (in a dumbfounded way) that I kept reading and listening more and more... I don't recommend spending much time reading up on this, and I don't support the movement, but I did learn some things about free speech that may be useful for my campus work in the future.

The old woodcutter spoke again. “It is impossible to talk with you. You always draw conclusions. Life is so vast, yet you judge all of life with one page or one word. You see only a fragment. Unless you know the whole story, how can you judge?"

Never heard of them before this post.

Sounds kind of like the same people who walk through Target stores in Texas carrying their AR-15s to demonstrate open carry.

YouTube routinely offers me videos that I assume are something like this. I think of it as angry person content and try not to click on it so as to discourage the algorithm from feeding more of the same.

i think of it as stupid stuff/spam, do not open, click on anything, report as spam when that option is offered.

i don’t presume anything is a “movement” without substantial evidence it is.

i don’t presume anything stated is fact, for instance, when msm blurts out (damning nonsense) without the first effort of due process.

If it’s not balanced reporting, or even content presented in classrooms, it’s personal opinion, if not propaganda.

Most or all of this drama, humiliation, wasted taxpayer money could be spared -
with even modest attempt at presenting balanced facts from the start.
