Thanks for the prayers - I had a brief but apologetic email from Lucy today.

Hopefully she will remain compliant to her medical regimen.

Sorry to dig up a super old post, but does anyone have any updates concerning Lucy/CoveredOne? I remember her from MD and resonating with some of her struggles - particularly not being near a CA church and not having family support. At some point, I thought her main issues were mostly rooted in her being unable to find a job and sustain a living near the church in Ireland but it seems there was more to it. I didn't realize she was struggling so deeply with mental health. My heart aches - I truly hope and pray she's alright. Anyone know anything? MaxPC? t1? Hats Off?

It's been a few months since I last spoke to her. She still has struggles, but she also still believes in the Lord who I know will be faithful to her.

I'm glad you dug up this post Annakat, I remember Lucy very well as she was the only other person from the British Isles on this forum. I was wondering how she was faring, glad to hear she is in touch with Josh and very glad she's kept her faith.

i’m glad to know Josh has spoken with her, and i agree with him, the Lord will be faithful (to all of us).

Hats Off last posted in Nov 2019. he doesn’t have computer access to the forum as he did. much to our loss. it’s entirely possible/probable he and his daughter are in communication with Lucy.
someone on this forum might know how to contact Hats Off. :)

Glad to hear she’s alright, Josh. I was able to find her on social media and I see on one of her social media profiles (that she just posted on this week) that she claims to be a member of the Dunmore East Fellowship. Is this true, or more of a coping mechanism for her to claim this?

I've avoided talking to her about that situation.

For the record, Dunmore East seems to have a serious problem with covering up chronic sexual abusers (most notably William McGrath), and this is something Lucy complained about for years with the way they operated their boys' camp. I do not recommend that families with children or teens consider that fellowship unless there are radical changes in how they do things there.
