NC LT. Governor Nominee Mark Robinson (R)

Post by temporal1 »

An interesting turn of events. :)

In 2018, Mark Robinson, North Carolina private citizen, spoke up at a local town meeting on gun rights, his talk was recorded, then viewed by thousands of people.

(i believe Robert first posted it on this forum near that time?) i could not locate Robert’s post, it may have been removed (by FB or other) i’m not sure. It may remain, i’m not sure.

If i’m getting anything wrong, please correct. :D

This is from youtube:

2018 / "I AM THE MAJORITY!" Full Gun Rights Speech *MUST WATCH* / 4 min 21 sec

Today, i noticed he has been elected/Primary:

2020 / “Gun owner who went viral wins North Carolina lieutenant governor GOP primary
https://www.foxnews.com/media/gun-owner ... or-primary
A gun owner who went viral for delivering a compelling gun rights speech won the North Carolina lieutenant governor GOP primary, becoming the first African-American to achieve the feat.

“Our message is so much more than the Second Amendment, which is a crucial issue,” Republican Mark Robinson told “Fox & Friends First.” “It’s a message that touches on all the topics conservative North Carolinians are concerned with today.”

Robinson said that he’s passionate about “standing for the unborn.”

“I believe that we need to purge abortion from our shores for the cause of life the same way that we purged slavery for the cause of liberty.” .. ..

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A former factory worker and day care operator whose gun rights speech before a North Carolina city council vaulted him to prominence among conservatives won the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor on Tuesday in a crowded field.

First-time candidate Mark Robinson of Greensboro got the most votes and exceeded the 30% threshold needed to win outright and avoid a runoff. .. ..

Me too. If I could give him any advice as to running a worldly kingdom, it would be from Micah chapter six:
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
Act in accordance to Justice, but with a heart devoted completely to Mercy.

His 2018 presentation is all i know about him.
from that, i would guess he would welcome and agree with your counsel.

he resonated as strong and convicted, but also fair and balanced. a hard-working man. not a kook.
his words seem to “ring-true” with a lot of people.

he has a point.
the majority of people do NOT cause any problems of any description, but, the majority is accused and held responsible for all of it. it has become more than tiresome.

you made me curious enough to find his FaceBook page.
i decided to “follow” to see if i might learn more about him.
i had no idea he was running for office, but, not surprised, either. i’m sure he was encouraged!

he makes me think of a 21st Century version of 1939, “Mr Smith goes to Washington.”

I suppose, considering you have stopped reading the news, that Fox must not qualify as news??? ;)

i saw a headline, i don’t know whose, i did a quick search for the topic, this one appeared.
no, i’m not “following” anything. i’m not rigidly unplugged.

i’ve never followed Fox, unplugged from CBS, NBC, ABC, NPR, etc., in 2016. i do not miss them.
using the internet, “things appear” without following.

i ignore most, mainly ‘cause i don’t want “them” to count my “clicks” as interest in their reports.
occasionally i read. i try not to.

at this point in 2020, i’ve decided reading anymore may be a form of useless masochism. :-|

Mark Robinson has been of interest on this forum, i believe Robert first posted his “I AM THE MAJORITY” private citizen talk. i believe MR has worked very hard to offer himself in service, and has the respect of many working with him.

bloomberg’s money doesn’t always prevail. but it has.
he threw an election in Chicago a few years ago, in similar fashion. it’s sad.

i’m still impressed he won this election.
his 2018 apolitical private citizen youtube speech, “I AM THE MAJORITY,” still resonates. (OP) ^^

Mark Robinson, NC Lt. Gov. / Facebook

Guns are illegal in Chicago:

“Chicago ends 2020 with 769 homicides as gun violence surges”
“The year 2020 ended in Chicago with more homicides than in all but one year in more than two decades”
https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/chi ... s-75005949

Mark Robinson makes valid points.
Politicians regularly remove rights and increase taxes on LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS - because they can.
MR paints a clear picture of how that plays out. Law-abiding citizens are the “low-hanging fruit” for law makers.

Criminals not only ignore law, they shoot back, and run away. Going after criminals is RISKY HARD WORK.
 Law makers are quintessential paper-pushers.
