Can't we post this in politics?...

I know you are connecting this with gun rights but its hard not to see this as purely political and having nothing to do with Anabaptists. I'm really not interested in reading stuff about some random LT governor being elected and the follow on argument about some political talking point. I'd rather be able to read current events and ignore the politic forum.

Are you planning to send him an email about the bigger things at stake in the Kingdom of God then making sure we all have weapons?

i believe Mark Robinson was first introduced on this forum, by Robert, maybe 2018, as PRIVATE CITIZEN Mark Robinson,
he was NOT seeking any office at all.

my interest in him is as a private citizen.
i’m not voting for him. i’m not soliciting votes for him or anyone. few on this forum are in NC, even if they would vote.

i appreciate his clarity of thinking, his ability to communicate his views.
he refers to his Christianity, he is not a pastor.

his views resonate most on his “I AM THE MAJORITY” pov, which goes well beyond gun debates.

this thread began before the recent OPT-OUT of politics subforum.
there was no intent at any time to subvert forum rules or goals.

it’s the mods decision.

folks liked him, that’s what happened. i don’t dislike or reject him because of it.

Not really about election investigations but the Lt Governor of NC makes is abundantly clear where he stands on the issue of voter ID and election integrity.

If you can't see through the Dems reasoning behind objecting to voter ID, you're probably not someone who should be allowed to vote. I don't think they care how obvious there objection is, they will say anything to prevent it under the guise of racism or whatever.

By some bizarre coincidence, i saw this FOX report referencing NC’s MARK ROBINSON, in headline+text, but the video is of
Utah’s OWEN BURGESS. (Fox may correct the mixup, i have no idea.) But these are 2 black elected representatives in agreement on the much-maligned Georgia law.

In my view, the bigger problem in the report’s video is one criticizer, Nancy Petty, sporting a clerical collar, altho she is female and unrepentant sinner. This blasphemy goes unquestioned.

In Illinois, for 4 years, we witnessed a perfectly decent-appearing and speaking Republican governor get the same treatment -
even though he was (overly) diplomatic, regularly voting with Chicago Dems, “everything they could dream of,”
yet, because he had the Republican label, he could not be tolerated.

i repeat this, in effort to point out, the popular notion (LIE) that “a better” Republican can win, “if only,” etc., is FALSE.

The DNC is committed to intolerance, and ruthless about how to implement it.

i wasn’t following, didn’t know their election was yesterday.

i listened to his initial speech late last night. (it was late. it was lengthy. it was noisy.) not my fav thing to do.
he addressed several points, he had good things to say about gov ed and the need for gov schools to show respect for and involve PARENTS.

i suppose it’s at the NRA convention that many decided not to attend.
i suppose Doc Rich did not view the original Mark Robinson (private citizen I AM THE MAJORITY speech) that put MR in the spotlight.

1) i agree with MR’s call to stop restricting/penalizing THE MAJORITY for sins/crimes of the minority.
2) i agree with his call to stop offering gov school children as specially+uniquely unprotected targets for deranged maniacs.

if armed security doesn’t work, then REMOVE it from courthouses, airports, Congress, et al. (i’m for that.)

These men are not Anabaptists, they believe in self defense, in the 2nd Amendment, etc.
i understand where they are coming from. i believe they speak for many who are not represented in the mainstream.
Their views are as valid as any.

so many in Illinois had such high hope for obama as POTUS, esp with hopes of addressing violent crimes in Chicago.
