Well, I can see one good thing in all of this.

It looks like Trump is planning to cut off Federal funding for schools and universities in Florida, Tennessee, Idaho, Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Kentucky (and a growing list of other states) since all of those states have passed laws mandating censorship of any discussions related to systemic racism at both the K-12 and university level. What they are loosely labeling CRT even though most of it isn't actually CRT.

For example, here is Idaho which would be ineligible for any Federal education funding under Trump's new policy: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... ace-theory

Many of these states are also busy censoring any discussion of LGBT people at both the K-12 and university level and are passing laws making it much easier to censor books in school libraries and censor curriculum. Or even fire teachers and professors for speech that they disapprove of.

This policy will ALSO cut off all Federal funding to all religious schools and colleges if they also engage in any form of censorship in any area of curriculum (not just the two examples of systemic racism and LGBT people I cited above). So, for example, a conservative religious school couldn't restrict discussion and materials related to evolution if they wanted any kind of Federal dollars for any purpose.

That will be a breath of fresh air if Trump and the Republican party do stand up to these promises and actually do take a new policy direction opposing censorship in education.

i appreciate time stamps. (They almost make up for lack of transcripts.)

i enjoy JLP, most of all for his way of provoking thought about Christian faith (to everyone he encounters) along with his sincerity about addressing young black men about their important, unique God-created roles in earthly life, in their families, communities, churches. (First time i’ve learned about Pastor Burns.)

i’ve never heard pastors speak about DJT, one way or another (altho i’ve read “plenty” that some do!) not my experience. :P
JLP+guest cover various topics, not just about politics.

Personally, i’m ok with a second Trump term; if not, i’m unbothered, there are a number of great possibilities, all of whom have benefited from Trump’s first term, admit it or not. Most everyone did, admit it or not.

In my view, conservatives, not just the RNC, have a deep and diverse “bench,” i prefer they avoid in-fighting.
i realize msm media THRIVES on contest and scandal, i’m not delusional. not about their tactics or goals.

^^all things considered, interesting interview.

Remember the spirit of the OP: Good things. :blah:   you can do it!

This what what this thread was for. I’m not sure what you are asking specifically.

i’m wondering if you want the topic to stay in (now) past-tense, 2016-2020, or, if it’s ok to “take the spirit” of the OP, and apply to the present campaign? (Then, perhaps, 2024 would follow?)

i see this as possible chapters of the same topic, you might not.

Maybe it would be better to have a new thread for videos that talk about Trump. While I understand that many (Most? All?) threads eventually wander off topic, maybe this thread would be better served by staying with the op parameters?
That’s my two bits.

Probably the same goes for the Trump thread.

no problem.
i admit i’m stunned that anyone would interpret those posts as being in any way exclusive!
either to one person, or content.
