i love oatmeal-raisin cookies!
I'm posting this in the Current Events and Politics thread because it feels like we need it here.

What's your favorite cookie recipe? And what do you eat your cookies with?

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?

My favorite is fresh. I like fresh cookies! I like Ginger snaps, Snickerdoodles, molasses, oatmeal, chocolate chip.

I like boughten Oreos with milk. I like pretty much all the seasonal or fancy flavored Oreos.
I like Girl Scout cookies although I’ve very seldom had them since we moved out of town.

I don’t like very many of the weird and fancy Christmas cookies that get made and exchanged.

I also like Boston Creme Rolls.

Ezra my 4 year old in my pickup.
Beaming, “LOOK what I found under the seat!” (A empty box of Boston Creme Roll cakes.)
Me: “Maybe there is some under the seat.”
Ezra peering underneath the seat: “YEP THERE IS!! There's TWO of them! But I can't reach yours!” :laugh

He gets them. Hands one to me. “This one is for you, and this one is for me and Amanda. I'm gonna save half for her.”
We eat.
Later after holding half of one for a minute: “This one is breaking, so I'm not gonna give it to her.”
He eats it all.

Who can only eat half a roll or half a cookie?

It would hardly be Christmas without pinwheel cookies. The ones that look like this:

...except in red and green. They are not just festive to look at, but fun to eat as well. First you nibble one color all the way around, then the other color is on the outside so you eat that until you're back to the starting point, and so on until you get to the center. Then reach for another one and repeat....

What a great anecdote about Ezra!

My wife likes to make ginger snaps, snickerdoodles and molasses cookies along with oatmeal. She'll also make shortbread cookies for me. She's a great cook. My waistline will attest to that. In a pinch, I like to get those Twinkies too. And Mars Bars. And Little Debbies. And Oreos. Favorites? As long as there's no liver in it I'll eat it.

I wasn't aware that cookie preferences could be considered political. This thread seems more at home in the Homestead thread.
