Well... I never read anything from Fox or Huffpost. MSNBC isn't listed cause I've never even seen them pop up when I search something.

The challenge is ALL facts can be interpreted. We have so much data, that we all have to filter it some how. Those filters do bias that data. One of the side effects of being in the information age. So much data and such little wisdom.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not after you.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

Most or all of this drama, humiliation, wasted taxpayer money could be spared -
with even modest attempt at presenting balanced facts from the start.

memory lane.
when i first arrived on MD's doorstep, i used AOL for everything on the internet. knew nothing else. MD was my first forum of any description.

kindly, one new CM friend mentioned to me privately that HuffPo was amongst the most liberal of sources anywhere. i really did not know. i've learned. like you, i ignore!

i still use an AOL email address, habit. but! it's a free service.
my daughter was (out of her mind) that i paid for AOL for years. i did.
my daughter has tried to get me to change (to gmail, or other) saying AOL is dated, and others "will date you" for using it.

hmm. i have not had any dates. :-|
but, i don't doubt i've been dated. :P

i've even read, an AOL email address can interfere with employment applications. judgments!
(likely not for the jobs i'm seeking.)

A history that looks back to a mythologized past as the country’s perfect time is a key tool of authoritarians. It allows them to characterize anyone who opposes them as an enemy of the country’s great destiny. - Heather Cox Richardson

and, there are liberal Mennonite publications available to the public (?)
I have a friend who reports for Mennonite World Review. Available in print or online at:http://mennoworld.org/.
It covers a variety of Mennonite groups.

Copyright New York Public Radio?
Prior to the internet, it was -easy- (for me) to totally ignore tabloids found near every cash register in every store, and, in those days, NPR held credibility (for me, and many others.)

outward appearances no longer promise anything.

today, these same sources are known to be leftist, not even left-leaning, biased leftist.
anything coming out of NYC is recognized to be saturated with leftist bias.

similar to what Signtist is describing about news reporting in Canada.

when 9-11-2001 happened, the entire U.S., all 50 states, and much of the world, rallied to help victims, NYC, and other targets of that day. since, NYC, DC, and other East Coast cities have proven they don't care about the other 50 states. they regularly criticize and demean with a self-righteous pov.
after so long, this wears thin.

do you have "instruction" from another source?

Dr Ben Carson recently offered his idea for improving quality of news.
i do not believe he follows tabloid-type reports (just my speculation.) :-|

I think the mainstream news sources (this does not include Fox news) are mostly staffed by conscientious journalists who do what they can to be honest and fair. Of course everyone has their opinions and biases, but a good journalist usually tries to put these aside. What they are aware of and interested in, so what gets covered, comes from the biases, and of course most publications are in business to either make money or make a point. Therefore, it is very helpful to look at sources from a number of viewpoints.
