I found this quote revealing:
(3) Do all people who attend a church need to hold to the same doctrinal beliefs (outside credal beliefs)?
In other words, the author assumes everyone needs to hold the same credal beliefs, i.e., those are the beliefs the author thinks actually matters. (The fact the author comes from a BMA background which has this view of church and practice is not surprising; Stephen Scott defined the BMA "fundamental conservative" movement as essentially the position that only credal beliefs are important and anything else should be up to individual choice.)

Good question… for a long time we stayed home and had church at home, until we found a place that we basically went to to sing and so the kids could meet people, but I didn’t think we were learning much… at least we weren’t seeing some of the stuff that you’d see in the worldly churches, such as provocative dress and very high heels, etc… women in make up and jewelry, etc.
