Forgive me all things I said about Sodom and Gomorrah. I hope any kind of bullying, or harrassment stops immediately. We don't want violence of any kind.
Please pray for me, family. I am so sorry.
Guess he got pushed over the edge. This forum is not for the faint hearted and good practice for people to practice loving your enemies and turning the other cheek.temporal1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 6:18 pmohio jones wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 4:03 pmHe seemed to have an interest in history. He seems to present Munster as the norm, and everything else as an outlier.

Some interesting stuff here. He seems to have a thing about David Joris, but I may be misreading him. I have his writings on my shelf, I will try to open it.
I think that's right. In my experience, Reformed folk are often quick to lump us all in with the worst of the "Radical Reformers" wing of the Reformation and then to also accuse of Legalism and "Works-based Salvation". Not the most gracious folk around.Josh wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 2:44 pm It's common in Reformed circles for any discussion about Anabaptists to immediately turn to acting as if Munsterites and Batenburgers defined the Anabaptist movement, which they did not. I think it's a deflection tactic because talking about the rest of the history of Anabaptism is, well, pretty uncomfortable for people who aren't Anabaptists.
