Theodicity

Post by Bootstrap »

We have a forum member named Praxis+Theodicity.

Theodicity is:
defense of God's goodness and omnipotence in view of the existence of evil.
So I'm wondering ... What have people here learned about God's goodness and power in view of evil? How did you learn it? What has it meant to you?

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?

Maybe not what you are looking for but,…

This summer right up against the floor to ceiling window of the building directly across the street from my office, and on the floor matching my office (not the ground floor where such things might be shielded by traffic, parked cars, or landscaping), there appeared an obscene lifelike figure posed in an intentionally provocative pose, facing my office window.

I didn’t know what I should do. It just appeared out of nowhere. I’ve been here 6 years. I didn’t know if I should talk with someone over there or not. I closed my window curtain, and opted to pray about it each day. About two weeks or so later, I noticed that although the figure was still in its place, its window now had a full width and length lacy window shade. And while one could still make out the figure, it was no longer at all noticeable.

I feel like this spelling takes the word from somewhere around "Michael Sattler" to somewhere in the area of "Jan Mathys".
