Re: Do do, do do
Some maintain that this entire passage is Paul reflecting on his pre-conversion life. I don't think so. He would never have ended it by saying "Thanks be to God, through our Lord Jesus Christ!" (In answer to his question: Who will deliver me from this body of death?)
I understand it as an honest assessment of where we live on a day to day basis. Not on every single temptation, or challenge, but it's the defeats that we concentrate on too much, and not his answer. It is also the reason why we so look forward to the promised transformation, when Christ returns, and "catches us up", where as we meet him in the air, we become like HIM!
