Vaccine Mandates a Slippery Slope towards the Surveillance State and Mark of the Beast

This thread is for discussing and keeping up to date on how vaccine mandates are increasingly being used not merely for health purposes but for political control.

Victoria, Australia, is an example of a democracy that seems to be currently sliding towards a dictatorship. Examples:

*Elected representatives cannot vote if they're unvaccinated. (This is perhaps the world's first democracy where representatives of a dissenting constituency cannot have a vote.)

* There is a "no jab, no job" policy. Employers are telling unvaccinated workers to resign with severance or be fired without one. Non-compliance may result in a fine of up to $20,000 for persons and $100,0000 for businesses.

* There is a "no shot, no shop" policy. An unvaccinated person cannot shop, eat out, or get a haircut. They're being told they won't be able to shop non-essential retail again until the year 2023. (Same fines may apply, $20,000 for persons and $100,0000 for businesses.)



* If you are vaccinated you must "check in" at any retail store with a QR code. The QR code allows the government to track you. Ostensibly, of course, all this is for purposes of "contact tracing."

(A rhetorical question: who wants to bet that sooner or later some kind of digital ID will have become mandatory and permanent anyways, "just in case" another pandemic suddenly strikes without notice?)

* The government is encouraging churches and businesses to keep "Covid Marshals" (snitches) around to report rule breakers, who can call the Police Assistance Line to report them. "Become a PAL! " (Turning churches and businesses into instruments of the Surveillance State.)

Note: if children under 15 are not wearing a mask, the fine is $40. The fine for children between 15 and 18 is $80. (Though I've also heard fines are now $184.74 and $726.96 respectively.)

* The premier of Victoria, Australia, Dan Andrews, tabled a new law to give him permanent emergency powers. (Oct. 26 '21) This is very likely to pass quickly since unvaccinated Members of Parliament are not allowed to vote now. (even digitally.)

These permanent emergency powers will enable him to declare lockdowns and impose fines, etc.

I haven't really paid any attention to Australia since the fires last year. But it sounds like Australia really wants its citizens to get vaccinated. If I lived there I would get vaccinated and move on with my life, just like I have here. And just like I expect the vast majority of Australians are doing. I've been vaccinated dozens and dozens of times since I was an infant. Often times they were required for various reasons like school attendance. It has been a trivial and universal experience in modern society since I was about 5. Maybe when I was a toddler it was more traumatizing but I don't really remember.

Ken, this isn’t about vaccines.

This is about the fact everyone (even the vaccinated) has been under 200+ days of lockdowns in my hometown; my brother (who is fully vaccinated) probably won’t be allowed to travel here in December. Basically nobody has any civil rights. And speaking up against these measures is now illegal.

It’s become a totalitarian police state. Basically, it’s what you seem to want America to do. Citizens with no rights who literally GET ARRESTED if they are caught more than 5 miles from home. Businesses and schools shut down if 1 person tests positive with a covid case.

And citizens aren’t allowed to LEAVE the country… for their “safety”.
