Center for Biblical Unity
this video is 56 minutes. i believe i heard a brief few words of the introduction. interesting.
i’ll try again. it might be my device/connection.
is this a Catholic presentation? i heard the name, “Bontrager” right away. Anabaptist?
as worldly matters escalate, Jesus Christ rises as the sole hope for unity, in Him.
many have no idea they are yearning for Jesus! when eyes open, it does not cease to amaze.
He was there, all along. it’s we who are awkward and stumbling.

Re: Biblical Unity vs Critical Race Theory
Not Catholic, rather it's sourced from an interdenominational study of secularism's influence and is applicable to all denominations.
If you can, listen to the video. There are references in the website as well. The current meta-narrative of Critical Race Theory is not only divisive but also obscures the message of the Bible in favor of a secular world-view. How is that for a teaser?

Just for the record...no one has brought up CRT except for a certain segment of the MN crowd that doesn't believe is systemic racism. It is odd really.

And Critical Race Theory is not the only worldly and divisive narrative about race.joshuabgood wrote:Just for the record...no one has brought up CRT except for a certain segment of the MN crowd that doesn't believe is systemic racism. It is odd really.

Re: Biblical Unity vs Critical Race Theory
Additionally, this lady seems to understand the hidden agendas of Critical Race Theory as a former believer in it herself. CRT pushes divisiveness, anger, etc. She now supports the Biblical approach that matches Anabaptist teachings: that of building Christian community and unity. It’s quite refreshing to see someone work toward agape and unity instead of simply repeating the meta-narrative of anger and division. Here’s a link to a FB post with a video in which she and another gentleman share their journey into and out of Critical Race Theory. They also share their thoughts on the new CRT push/agenda/canon of White Fragility, etc.MaxPC wrote:Not Catholic, rather it's sourced from an interdenominational study of secularism's influence and is applicable to all denominations.

Re: Biblical Unity vs Critical Race Theory
Maybe I've missed something? - because I haven't seen anyone deny systemic racism. But I have seen a segment of people who follow Christ and apply his teaching of not resisting evil. To me, Christ means we are not to be reactive or partaking in activism, or protesting or whatever. To some onlookers follows of Christ look like deniers and lacking action, but the truth is rather they are active in loving as Christ taught and feel no need to compensate in reactive ways to correct everyone else's wrong views.joshuabgood wrote:Just for the record...no one has brought up CRT except for a certain segment of the MN crowd that doesn't believe is systemic racism. Thanks Wade. I think there definitely are some that deny "systemic racism" exists...but thanks for noting that you don't. I hear what you are saying...personally though, I think there is a place to protest things like systemic racism.

Wade, well said. Spot on!
I appreciate how you don’t make assumptions and prefer to wait in charity.
