We are called to put on righteousness. So this righteousness is not natural to us, it is not of ourselves, it is imputed to us (Romans 4:19-25) and is not our own (Philippians 3:9).
II Corinthians 5:20-21 - Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
How does this righteousness of God fit on us? Like a breastplate in that it is visible to the world around us, and yet they can still see our carnal selfish body sticking out on all sides?
