St. Michael's Day and the Amish

Post by Z_DC »

I was not aware that the Amish "celebrate" St. Michael's Day. Is this article correct? Are any of you aware of this practice?

Me either. My parents were Amish till I was 9, and I have many Amish relatives. If they celebrate it, it's called something else.

An Amish gentleman told me it was a custom handed down through history. It's less religious and more social. At least that was his understanding of it. YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). :D
