Business opportunities serving low-tech Anabaptist groups

Post by mike »

Anabaptists who don't use certain technologies present a unique set of business opportunities for those interested in meeting their resulting needs. We've seen this a long time in providing transportation for plain groups who will not drive vehicles, but will hire others to do so. In this discussion, list similar opportunities that you are aware of, or some possibilities that might develop. Here are a few that came quickly to mind, some of which have been flourishing for awhile.

Selling curated offline Internet content
Digital marketing for businesses
Frozen food storage facilities
Transportation
Communications (such as converting emails to faxes and vice versa)

Back in the day when I dabbled in real estate, I did property management for a few local Amish that had farmhouses they wanted to rent out, but didn't have the means of doing it effectively.

Got interesting at times.... :o

I was thinking of opportunities specifically serving low-tech Anabaptist groups, but yeah...

Low tech Anabaptists used these services. For example, Holdemans take commercial airline flights. Amish ride on passenger trains. A lot of Mennonites will use a lawyer’s services but would not become one themselves.

I would think the biggest business opportunity would be in health care.

Those fields do not specifically serve low-tech Anabaptists. I'm thinking primarily about industries specifically tailored to low-tech Anabaptists.

And that can be provided by high-tech Anabaptists, right?
