Spring 2024: Tell us about your church!

I like to do these every six months or so as newcomers join the forum. Most likely this may become a series of polls in the coming days.

Vote and discuss. Open to all members.

Good morning, Steve. It is always a bit of fun to do your polls. Hope all are well.

The nursery is somewhat staffed: you are about guaranteed to always find at least one mom in there...

The church I'm currently attending scores 2 out of 10: midweek services and frequent fellowship meals.

Fellowship meals are technically once a month, but every single week there is one family designated for hospitality, and even though it's not a "whole church" meal gathering, I think it still counts as a fellowship meal, so I say we have fellowship meals every week.

My wife dreaded hospitality. She would rather trade that off for other responsibilities.

We have everything except ushers seating people. Some have self-assigned seats; the rest just sort of fill in the empty spaces. If a visitor looks confused, someone will be there to help, not necessarily someone whose job description says they should.

We recently began having ushers seat people. Our church has been growing enough to the point where we have no choice but to seat people as efficiently as possible. I think it's nice to just walk in and sit where you want in church, but you can't always have that luxury. And for whatever reason people generally don't like sitting in the front benches.
