Challenges we face as Christians?

My wife made a comment recently on how some families seem to have it easy while others struggle. I feel it is a matter of perception. Take money for example. Some folks fall into old money, have nice things and it would appear they have no worries in the world, but yet I wonder if they are really happy.

Others seem to struggle to keep the lights on and the food on the table, but are thankful and appear to be happy and are willing to help others at the drop of a hat.

I welcome any and all feedback. And vote too 8-)

I would say yes, I agree.

Maybe this isn’t where you were headed, but my thoughts are: If the end goal is being in Heaven with Jesus, than no matter what happens to us here… He brought us through it.

I personally believe that the attitude we bring to life and the level of trust we have in God impacts everything.

I've heard it said that God puts us through hard times to prepare us for a task He has for us later in life. I can sometimes see it, other times not so much.

When I had my stillborn, I wondered what the point of it all was, yk?

Then, a few months out, I heard of a lady that had just had one as well (like 3-4 months after me), and I felt like ‘this is why.’
I felt like I knew how to help her in a way I never could have otherwise.

(BTW, a lot of the help involved was just sitting with her & keeping my mouth shut. If I hadn’t been through it, I properly would have felt awkward & maybe avoided the topic- even the lady- because I didn’t know what to do or how to help & would be afraid I’d accidentally say something stupid or that hurt more.)

I feel like I should add, I have also been through hard times & am even currently in some hard times, that I don’t see the ‘point’ of… but I trust God there is a reason in there somewhere (otherwise I’d go crazy).
