"Found money": Another financial thread!
Was gonna make this a poll but there are too many variables and options
What if you had $1000 bestowed upon you, most unexpected?
Tilth, donate and/or help someone else?
Save/invest it?
Just squirrel it away?
Pay down debt?
Treat yourself to something nice?
Pay bills?
Any combination of the above?

Personally, I'd squirrel it away, especially over the winter months. My utility bills are a solid 30% higher than previous years. I may invest in a side hustle for an extra stream of income.
Some months ago, I had to put a new battery in the 'ol battle wagon. I don't remember paying that much for a car battery

I think he's from Canada, where that buys about 20 gallons of regular unleaded (a little more in Alberta, a little less in Vancouver).

If it was $100 dollar bills, probably keep them at home to have cash on hand.
A check, deposit it in my checking account. The biggest single expense is house payment, so it would likely go there, but the funds would all be commingled, so no way of knowing where that particular $1000 went.
If I gave it away, it would most likely go to my church.

I'd probably give 10% to 20% away and deposit the rest until I had a good sense of what to do with it.
