I’m actually looking for a pen that instantly dries and worn smear but has the crisp feel of a fine point pen like a Pilot.

Stainless steel Zebra pen, G-301, 0.7mm.
Black ink okay, prefer blue.

Imagine the world we live in. We can be choosy with our pens.

I am. Nothing but the Uni-ball Signo gel pen, Impact 207.
For work, I rotate between Pilot G-2's in a 1.0 tip and a Sharpie S-Gel. At home, if writing checks, I will drag out the fountain pens.

One of my “hobbies” is writing checks in excellent Spencerian penmanship but with a goal to be basically illegible to anyone under the age of 35.

Writing checks? Somewhat archaic, but a few weeks ago I had to do that. Usually they go through the printer and I sign them with the trusty Pilot G-2 07, black, for the once a month or so that a paper check can't be avoided.

I keep receiving them, and recently just got one that was unsigned. Since I use a tiny credit union, they actually noticed this, unlike back in the days at Bank of America when I would routinely deposit unsigned checks at the ATM and nobody would notice.

Last time I had business at my bank, the manager admitted that she forgot how to write out a check. She writes one check a year, at best.

I'm old school, I suppose 8-)

That's a talent I wouldn't let go to waste!

My employer has a customer that returns product to us with fancy notes written in rough caligraphy... I actually enjoy getting stuff back from them as the notes make me smile. I have all of them hanging up on my file cabinet at work.
