Problematic Occupations for Mennonites

As teenagers we used to laugh at the brothers in church (who were carpenters by trade) refuse to take on any work if there was a television in the home.

Now everyone is walking around with the internet in their pocket

We're actually talking about 2 different things i this thread.

1. Problematic occupations
2. Problematic jobs we take within our chosen occupations

Why make following Christ so complicated ? When Jesus left this earth He promised to send us and did send us the Holy Spirit to be our guide. The Holy Spirit lives in every true believer and will guide us in the way we should go but we must believe this and have an ear for His guidance. Pretty simple yet most of us are listening to other voices.

If we are unsure of what God wants us to do, He has given us a Guide and it is my belief and experience that this Guide is often ignored. The Holy Spirit uses various means to guide us and Jesus said His sheep know His voice and they follow Him. Question is, how well do we know the voice of the Shepherd as He speaks to us via the Holy Spirit ?
