Really? Where did you hear this? I worked for the University of Maryland hospital, and I do not remember any oath or affirmation. Wife works for the local county as a nurse, and she likewise does not remember one. Maybe for "constitutional" offices only, us that have no authority they don't. Or maybe they just missed us.

What does it matter to us who wrote the constitution? Regardless of the beliefs of the writers, we've benefited from the good, and are not ultimately bound by it.
It isn't the exactly a Christian document, it is superseded by the Bible.
