I found the reference to "the third eye' concerning as well, but the fact that the severely ill person caught this and responded to it was reassuring as well. So I will continue to support her in the therapy, confident that she knows the dangers. Thanks for all responses.

I don't know if this helps, but I think of mindfulness as paying careful attention to specific things over time.

You can be mindful of our emotional state, or your breathing, or of God's presence, or the beauty around you, or of chakras and third eyes or other such stuff.

Learning to keep your mind gently focused on the right things is a good thing. But it's important to know what the right thing is.
