Do you put up a Christmas Tree?

My children insist on putting out a small table-top Nativity Scene that lighted. And my boys bought these new-fangled LED strings of lights that are draped in out dinning room.

I wanted an evergreen branch out at the bird feeder for the birds to sit on but my wife used a dead deciduous branch instead - it doesn't look as much as Christmas decoration. Just to give you an idea of our Christmas decorations.

My wife and I don't put up a Christmas tree because we live in a tiny one bedroom apartment. We don't usually decorate at all for the holidays.

Indeed. I would never put up Christmas lights or decorations. Instead, I simply enjoy other people’s Christmas lights.

I grew up with a Christmas tree. When I was young, our family would go to the local Christmas tree farm and cut one down. It was one of the few events that we did as a family during the holiday season. I appreciate the memories that were made in both cutting down and decorating a tree.

My parents still put up a tree, though it is a fake one most years. Everyone is expected to put on a few ornaments. I still participate, as I personally don't feel that the act in of itself is wrong.

Wreaths and paper snowflakes are nice. When I was young I never saw the appeal of the tree except for hanging lights on.
