There is actually some really good stuff there. Example is Dean Taylor's church history course.

You just have to sort through a lot of garbage,

I watched these videos with a moderate conservative Mennonite on his 50" TV (which isn’t a TV since it’s only hooked up to a computer). How fitting.

In all fairness I actually found them pretty helpful/educational in terms of tips for keeping a cleaner house.

That's one of the reasons the more conservative Mennonites took a stand against TV and radio.

If I can find good stuff elsewhere, I'll choose to stay out of that garbage.

Fortunately, my bots and search engine do that for me, in a large part.

Yeah. We don’t have T.V. And generally have a good idea what something is before we watch it.

lesterb wrote: Could we start using YouTube for doing some biblical teaching? How about a series entitled, "Living for Christ in a world of shallow Christianity"? I took a brief look at the video blog that the link above links to. I can't see how people like that can be having a genuine relationship with Christ. Oh, they may be "surface" Christians, but I don't think they really understand the call of Christ (few of us do).

There has to be more to kingdom Christianity than this.
It does not surprise me that when Conservative Anabaptist people start teaching that Christianity is primarily about believing the Bible and having a relationship with Christ, the fruit of this is that their lives look more and more like most people who teach that Christianity is primarily about believing the Bible and having a relationship with Christ.

I agree that there is more to kingdom Christianity.

Here in intermediate-land, I sometimes wonder whether, if those things were new, would we actually take a stand against them? c.f. smartphones.

The cell phone came in and evolved into smart phones. All our youth seemed to have them but we were still talking about being careful with internet access on our computers; meanwhile they could access whatever they wanted, where ever they were. We finally caught on so now we talk about the use of the smart phone and insist that all smartphones need to be filtered. I think we would have been better off with less smart phones.
