I’m surprised at that ranking. Pink Lady and Fuji and Gala particularly.
I have all of those except SweeTango in my orchard.

I used to love Gala’s but lately it seems like they are getting picked too early and are not very sweet. Pink lady is sweeter and honey crisp is pretty good. Pink lady seems like a good compromise between sweetness and shelf life compared to honey crisp. I never liked Fuji that much, not enough crunch for me.

They totally missed the Jonathan. (Not to mention apples available in South America, like the Maca Nacional.)

Where is Winesap? My personal favorite is McIntosh (perhaps Irish/Scottish roots). I like tart, hubby prefers sweet.

Waldorf salad anyone?

I just never could reconcile eating apples with mayonnaise. Warm apple crisp is more to my taste.

At the top of the page, next to the Post Reply button, there's a wrench icon with a drop-down menu; one of the choices is Subscribe topic. If it says Unsubscribe, you have (perhaps unintentionally) signed up for notifications from the thread, and clicking on Unsubscribe should stop them.
