Our 8 week old baby is in a high level of care hospital due to getting very sick. Possible sepsis, but she's too sick at this point to do the proper imaging to properly identify the underlying issues that are causing all of this.

Most or all of this drama, humiliation, wasted taxpayer money could be spared -
with even modest attempt at presenting balanced facts from the start.

At this point we're still waiting for a diagnosis for our baby. They were finally able to do a CT scan yesterday as she has really improved from where she was Sat morning. So she and my wife continue to hang out in the PICU as she slowly gets better.

So in light of that, please pray for mom and baby as they seek help and answers in the hospital, and the rest of us as we try to go on with our usual responsibilities.

Edsel Burdge's mother passed away unexpectedly this morning. He would appreciate our prayers. This also means that he will not be attending or speaking at the Seeker's Gathering this weekend.

Shanty, any news yet on your baby?

Ernie, adding Edsel and family to our prayers.

Baby got four 1oz bottles yesterday, ( the first food since early Sat morning) the first three were pumped breast milk, and then the 4th a special formula. Everything gave her so much gas that they stopped feeding again and are giving IV nutrition for now.
They are planning to test for hirschprungs (I think it's a Mennonite disease) tomorrow. They don't think it's that because of how old she is (9 weeks), that usually shows up within days of birth.
Momma is going stir crazy in the hospital, so a friend from church offered to stay with the baby for tomorrow evening through Sat morning so that she can come and also take in the school play which is a drama of Daniel in the loins den.

I would have your babe tested for food allergies too. It seems a lot of children are having those kind of allergies of late.

Right now she seems to be allergic to all food. As soon as she was fed on Wed, she started going down again. Her heart rate was increasing to near alarming rates again and her white cell count was going up as well.

The good new is that baby is out of the PICU as of this afternoon. But still no diagnosis and waiting on the report of the fluid sample they took out of her abdomen.
