What happens if I 'delete all board cookies' as allowed at the bottom of the screen ?

All seriousness aside - does anyone know the answer to what that little garbage can will hold at the bottom of this screen if I do 'Delete all board cookies' as it reads ?

I can't find any instructions on the forum on what this does.
