What are some religious phrases you often heard while growing up or ones that you often hear now?

The old woodcutter spoke again. “It is impossible to talk with you. You always draw conclusions. Life is so vast, yet you judge all of life with one page or one word. You see only a fragment. Unless you know the whole story, how can you judge?"

Throughout my lifetime there are so many. Here are only two that pop into my head presently:
  • Iron sharpens irons. (from Prov 27:17)
  • Pray, hope and do not worry. (St. Pio)

Is the development of religious clichés and phrases really something you can get away from in any religious context that exists over time? My cousin who pastors a community church introduces his services, "Good morning, guys" pretty much every single time, I'm guessing. That's no less a cliché than the ones you always hear in the conservative Mennonites like "Greetings this morning in Jesus' name."
