"Sit/Sitting Under the Sound of the Word"

I'm trying to learn the origin of this phrase and how common it is. Anybody know the origin of this phrase or how it came to be? And if it is familiar, how is it used?

If you've heard a similar phrase, please post it here.

The old woodcutter spoke again. “It is impossible to talk with you. You always draw conclusions. Life is so vast, yet you judge all of life with one page or one word. You see only a fragment. Unless you know the whole story, how can you judge?"

I've heard it used in the past. Maybe not so much in the church I'm in now. It's used as a fancy way of referring to biblical preaching.
"We have been blessed to sit under the sound of the word during this week of meetings."
"We pray for our brother who has sat under the sound of Your word in the past, but is now walking in the ways of the world."

Haven't heard it in many years. We had a preacher that confused being loud with being understandable. He used this term often.

I self-identify as a conspiracy theorist. My pronouns are told/you/so.

I've heard more- sitting under the Spirit's leading/teaching.

And "sitting under the Word" when I was growing up.

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?
