This is a danger and also an opportunity for true pagans often display a transactional relationship with the gods rather than the loyal fidelity of monotheism. Allegiances will shift with new demonstrations of power. As the ancient king said, "None is greater than the God of Daniel, serve him." The stoniest hearts are those embittered against monotheism, true pagans may represent a "field ready for harvest", as Jesus said.
